Elliptical Machine

I first started using the Elliptical Machine after I was recovering from hurting my knees while running (soft and uneven ground- don’t recommend it). As you might have guessed, the Elliptical Machine is low impact, and easy on your knees. I thought of this machine as a temporary step while my knees were recovering, and found that I loved this machine and the workout I was getting. Purpose If you are looking for a great cardio workout, this is the machine for you. Within 3 minutes of using this machine, you can get up to your cardiovascular heart rate level and stay there for the duration of your workout. We have all heard the saying “An apple a day keeps the Doctor away”, but why is that? Apples are good for you- known Fact. Just how good are they for you, and what are some of the Health Benefits? Nutrition Apples have lots of Vitamin C, they are High in Fiber, and have Boron and Phloridzin, which helps with the strengthening of bones. Apples are known to reduce or prevent the risk of Heart Disease,  Diabetes, several types of Cancers, Alzheimers disease, and help lower cholesterol. If you can do one thing for your health..stop eating fried foods. What is considered  “Fried foods”? Anything cooked in a lot of grease or oil, at very high temperatures. Fried foods are things like french fries, most potato chips, onion rings, doughnuts, and in most cases, anything with the word “fried” in the title (though many products can be sneaky with their names!). Why try to give up Fried foods? Fried foods have little to no nutritional value, and if you have learned anything from my posts, your body needs good-for-you-fuel to survive and function properly. Water is extremely good for you, especially considering that most of our body is made up of water.
