Stop Adding Toxins To Your Body

Posted by on Jan 6, 2014 in Beauty | Comments Off on Stop Adding Toxins To Your Body

One of my resolutions for 2014 is to stop adding toxins to my body. It’s something I have already been working towards, and I am pushing myself to use better products for a healthier body. Check out this image below. As you can see, we are adding hundreds of toxic chemicals to our  body on a daily basis. These toxins don’t come without side effects to our overall health. Your personal care and beauty products are damaging the body’s organs, cause allergies, hormonal imbalances and linked to cancer – just to name a few. YIKES! You can’t tell me that these products are worth all of those things! Throughout the year I plan on educating myself and my readers about what’s in the personal care and beauty products so you know why you should ditch them – and I’ll...

A Year From Now…

Posted by on Jan 1, 2014 in Holiday, Skinny Tips & Quotes | Comments Off on A Year From Now…

New Years day is a great time to reflect on the previous year – the good and the bad. As I was looking back on what I have accomplished this last year, I am quite happy with the results even thought I didn’t accomplish everything I was striving for. I am happy because I am further ahead now than last year when I started. If I was exactly where I was last year today, I think I would feel a huge sense of regret and “I should haves”. I think if you just keep moving forward every year- even if you haven’t yet reached your ultimate goal – you should feel happy and proud that you are closer to your goal. Progress is progress, no matter how small. What have you accomplished this last year that you are proud...

When a individual is looking into proper ways to shed excess weight, they will want to take a closer look at the alcohol they are consuming. The liver is actually responsible for the way that our body handles the calories that we consume over time. If this vital organ is...

Josh Duhamel hits the Gym on Christmas

Posted by on Dec 26, 2013 in Fitness | Comments Off on Josh Duhamel hits the Gym on Christmas

Christmas was just yesterday, and while everyone was sleeping in and stuffing their faces with candy…Josh Duhamel was heading out to the gym. Healthy Lifestyle When I suggest going to the gym on a regular basis – making it a lifestyle change – this is what I’m talking about. You don’t need to workout for hours, but what about a 15 or 30 minute workout? As a society, we need to make a daily workout routine normal again rather than diss Josh Duhamel about exercising on a holiday (as if that’s such a terrible thing). If we make excuses not to workout, we can quickly justify skipping the gym for all sorts of things and one day realize “wow, I haven’t been to the gym in weeks/months/years”. Create a workout routine – whether that’s three days or six days a...

The Christmas Guide to Workout DVDs

Posted by on Dec 23, 2013 in Fitness, Holiday, Weight Loss | Comments Off on The Christmas Guide to Workout DVDs

Christmas morning. You tear off the wrapping paper to reveal the newest workout DVD, the front cover bearing the lean, leotard-clad body of an ex-soap star or TV presenter with blow-dried hair and veneers. Of course, every workout DVD worth its salt boasts a ‘before’ shot showing just how pale and miserable the celebrity was before she shed the baby-weight (and discovered fake tan) – to reassure you that they, too, are Real Women. The promises are tempting, like the half-empty box of Celebrations at your side. Hard to believe that all the secrets of a coveted dress size are contained within one shiny disc! From January 1st you diligently perform the routines, spurred on by the defined abs of the Real Woman on screen – until approximately January 4th work kicks back in. As for the DVD, that turns up in the supermarket bargain bin the following...
