Every St. Patrick’s Day, I see advertising for McDonald’s Shamrock Shake. Yes, it’s green…but it’s green from food dye rather than healthy green fruit or vegetables. It’s full of processed sugars, artificial flavorings and milk sourced from who knows where. The good news? There’s a much healthier – even Paleo & Vegan! – version of McDonald’s Shamrock Shake. I love fruit snacks, but they can be a bit expensive when you buy “the healthy kind” at the health food store or they just have too much sugar in them (organic or not…it’s still sugar and I don’t want to give it to my little one).
