Healthy Doughnut Recipe For National Doughnut Day!
If you didn’t already know, the first Friday of June is National Doughnut Day! Since this is an annual occurrence, I thought I’d share a healthy doughnut recipe for the “holiday” so you can still celebrate without putting junk in your trunk! haha ;)
Caramel Glazed Doughnuts
Doughnut Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- ¼ cup unsalted grassfed butter, melted*
- ¼ cup coconut milk, warm
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ cup coconut flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
Glaze Ingredients:
- ½ cup honey
- 1½ tablespoons almond butter
- 3 teaspoons unsalted grassfed butter (or use raw cacao butter for dairy-free)
- 1 teaspoon water
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
